Founded in 1970, Douglas College is the largest degree-granting university in British Columbia, Canada, educating nearly 25,000 students per year. The college has two main campuses in Metro Vancouver (New Westminster and Coquitlam), as well as several smaller training centers in Surrey, Burnaby and Maple Ridge. With both major campuses directly on the SkyTrain lines, Douglas is one of the most accessible postsecondary institutions in Metro Vancouver, attracting students from across the region.

Academic programs

Douglas offers the most undergraduate and graduate programs of any university in B.C., and excels at combining academic fundamentals with college-ready career skills. Each year, nearly 17,000 students (including 4,210 international students from more than 92 countries) take credit-bearing courses at Douglas. Due to the university’s strong academic foundation, most of these credit courses transfer to different research universities in B.C. and throughout Canada, providing students with flexible pathways to achieve their academic goals.
